Aftermarket 30k Tuning Motor for Carrera's 124 Scale BMW M1 Cars

This is an easy upgrade for Carrera's 124 Scale BMW M1 Cars. The 14 tooth pinion can also be used with any Carrera D124 car equipped with the Z46 axle, still available for select cars at Carrera SlotsRemove existing Carrera stock motor and just plug the RMS motor in! All screws and connections are compatible with the OEM Carrera motors. No chassis modifications required.

Compatible with analog (12-16 v) and digital (Carrera D124) power supplies.

The RMS motor is "rated" at 12 volts, however it will accept up to 24 volts without melting down. If it is to be run on the 18 volt Carrera wall packs, look out, even with the tuning tires, it will most likely be too much power and we recommending setting your basic speed down to about 40-50%. On your D124 tracks you will be able to run 4 cars with magnets without any problems.

Keep in mind Carrera's own Tuning motor was rated at 24K rpm at 18 volts, this motor is 30K rpm at 12 volts. It's more than twice as fast. But you will most likely NEVER run it that fast. If you are running D124 you should turn the power down to 40-50% and this motor still provides amazing torque for drifting through turns, magnets or no magnets.

If running on a track with over 50 running feet AND tight turns AND Carrera Cars, this may not be a good upgrade option. The short straight sections, tight turns and more detailed Carrera bodies can put extra strain on this motor and cause it to overheat. All other scenarios would not cause an issue if upgrading to this motor.
