        Hess 2011 Toy Truck and Race Car The 2011 Flatbed Utility Truck and Race Car sets a new standard for innovative features. The heavy-duty truck introduces the first four-wheel independent suspension on a Hess toy. The realistic enhancement lets the truck sway and bounce with wheels firmly on the ground. Pulling out the hidden ramp at the back of the truck activates the sound of a metal grid sliding into position. The stock-car racer is equipped with powerful lights and is the first Hess accompanying car to have sound. A four-speed engine sequence sound effect starts by pressing the gas cap.

        We recently purchased an estate of G scale model trains and included was a collection of Hess Trucks. While there is not a particular scale associated with this brand, they are a highly collectible item and if not purchasing to collect, some would actually fit well as scenery items on a model train or slot car layout.

        All HESS trucks we have listed on our site are “New Old Stock” meaning that they include all original packaging and literature, and the item shows no evidence of ever being run or used beyond storage. New Old Stock packaging will usually show signs of shelf storage, but the contents will be in excellent condition. All of our HESS truck boxes have been opened in order to inspect for any corroded battery compartments in both the main vehicles as well as any secondary or accessory vehicles which may be part of the HESS product.
