        Hess 2002 Hess Toy Truck and Airplane Moving the fleet forward while going back in time, this 2-in-1 toy has a retro look. The cab of the eighteen-wheeler flatbed tractor-trailer shines with chrome-like details. The curved green fenders and rounded headlights recall an old-school Mack truck. The three-wheeled motorized biplane has a red three-bladed rotor that spins at the flick of a switch or the press of a button. The other notable feature is a small goggle-wearing pilot manning the plane: the first and only face to appear to date in the Hess Toy Truck fleet.

        We recently purchased an estate of G scale model trains and included was a collection of Hess Trucks. While there is not a particular scale associated with this brand, they are a highly collectible item and if not purchasing to collect, some would actually fit well as scenery items on a model train or slot car layout.

        All HESS trucks we have listed on our site are “New Old Stock” meaning that they include all original packaging and literature, and the item shows no evidence of ever being run or used beyond storage. New Old Stock packaging will usually show signs of shelf storage, but the contents will be in excellent condition. All of our HESS truck boxes have been opened in order to inspect for any corroded battery compartments in both the main vehicles as well as any secondary or accessory vehicles which may be part of the HESS product.
