General Questions About Carrera Racetracks

Can I build my Carrera racetrack outdoors?

If the item you want isn't in stock, the next delivery date is typically provided. If it's no longer listed in the online shop, please contact us for more information.

What should I do if a spoiler, mirror, or other small part breaks off?

Small parts like mirrors, spoilers, and antennas are designed to be easily attached. To prevent them from falling off or breaking during use, remove these parts before racing. They do not affect the vehicle's performance. You can find replacement small parts as a set through retailers or our online shop.

What is the difference between analog (GO!!!, GO!!! Plus, and Evolution) and digital (Digital 143, Digital 132/124) Carrera tracks?

Digital Carrera Tracks:
Individual lane changes can be made with the digital switches.
Multiple vehicles can operate simultaneously, depending on the system: DIGITAL 143: up to 3 vehicles, DIGITAL 132: up to 6 vehicles, DIGITAL 124: up to 4 vehicles.
DIGITAL 124/132 tracks can include digital features like controlling fuel levels, braking, and precise speed measurement. Ghost car and pace car functions are also available on DIGITAL 124/132 tracks.

Analog Carrera Tracks:
Only 2 vehicles can be driven at the same time.
Lane changes cannot be made individually with a button, unlike digital tracks.
Mechanical and electronic lap counters can be used as accessories.

Where can I find route suggestions?

Why don't spare tires have imprints?

As of autumn 2014, our licensing agreements with motorsport teams do not include the rights to print on tires, so they are offered without imprints.

When do you need an additional power feed for the track?

To avoid voltage loss on longer tracks, we recommend an additional power feed (5m or 10m) for track lengths around 12-15 meters.

What is the best way to care for the car racetrack vehicles?

Each vehicle comes with a maintenance manual. Regular cleaning and care, such as removing dust, dirt, and hair, are essential. Bearings and axle points should be cleaned and lubricated with acid-free oil or grease as per the instructions. More details, such as axle replacement and maintenance, can be found in the manual.

Why does the battery of the wireless controller not work with the Evolution, Digital 143/132/124 Railway?

If the hand controllers don't work outside the charging cradle, the batteries are likely deeply discharged. This situation isn't covered by the warranty. Even when not in use, charge the wireless hand controllers every 3 months. Deeply discharged batteries often can't regenerate and need replacement. Replacement batteries are available in the Carrera Online Shop.
